Philippe Renaud graduated from the National Circus School of Montreal in 2007 in hand-to-hand, a number that won him a bronze medal in the Cirque de Demain festival of 2009. He spent the next four and a half years performing all over Europe and North America, from German cabarets to Cirque Eloize’s ID.
Shannon started her career as an aerialist, with a focus on duo trapeze and aerial tissu. She won the journalist’s award at the Festival International Circo Latina in 2010, and the bronze lion at the Wuqiao International Circus Festival in 2011.
Philippe and Shannon started working together in mid-2014 to create a duo act in the cyr wheel, taking a common solo apparatus and exploring the possibilities and challenges of making it a duo act. The result is an intense, fast-paced and stunning blend of emotions and acrobatics that will make the audiences’ heads spin!
Most recently, Philippe & Shannon have spent their time and energy creating a new and visually stunning act on the unique apparatus called the sway pole.
Bringing creativity and whimsy to the act, and inspired by Le Petite Prince, they have created an awe-inspiring act called, “Lamp Lighters” that has already taken them around the world, from Canada to Singapore and currently Copenhagen.
